2014 Winter Olympics – Women’s Ice Hockey: Canada vs. USA
In one of the most thrilling comebacks in ice hockey history, the Canadian women’s team defeated their American rivals at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Trailing 2-0 with less than four minutes remaining, the Canadians scored two goals to force overtime, before Marie-Philip Poulin netted the game-winner in sudden death.

1993 World Series: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Philadelphia Phillies
The Toronto Blue Jays’ dramatic victory in the 1993 World Series was nothing short of incredible. In Game 6, with the Blue Jays trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Joe Carter hit a three-run home run to secure the championship for Toronto – the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in 15 years.

2010 Winter Olympics – Men’s Ice Hockey: Canada vs. USA
The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver saw one of the most dramatic upsets in Canadian sports history. With the Canadian men’s ice hockey team considered the heavy favorite, the group stage match against the USA was supposed to be a routine victory. However, the Americans shocked the world by defeating the Canadians 5-3. Despite the upset, Canada went on to win gold in the tournament after beating the USA in the final match.

1985 Grey Cup: BC Lions vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The 1985 Grey Cup saw the BC Lions, led by head coach Don Matthews, face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Lions had not won a Grey Cup since 1964 and were considered the underdogs against the dominant Tiger-Cats. In a surprising turn of events, the BC Lions emerged victorious with a 37-24 win, marking one of the most significant upsets in CFL history.

1991 Davis Cup: Canada vs. Sweden
In the 1991 Davis Cup, a young Canadian tennis team faced off against the highly-favored Swedish team, which featured the legendary Stefan Edberg. In a shocking upset, Canada’s doubles team of Grant Connell and Glenn Michibata defeated the Swedish duo of Edberg and Anders Jarryd, propelling Canada to a 3-2 victory in the tie.
